Dementia Care Services at Home
Living Well with dementia means continuing with the things that make you who you are.
People living with dementia are often forced give up the things they do due to low awareness, stigma and unsupported environments. The teams at Elite Care work collaboratively with other professionals, to promote and raise awareness of the benefits of Dementia Friendly Communities.
It is important to all of us at Elite Care, that every member of our teams have an awareness of dementia, and an insight into the psychological, physical and emotional journey that our clients living with dementia may be experiencing. We ask for this so that our clients may live well throughout their journey as the illness progresses. Our team are also aware of the importance of those living with dementia, to remain in familiar surroundings with their treasured possessions, because this will help them stay tuned to their past.
All of our team members are highly committed to making a difference to peoples lives, whether assisting with personal care or other activities of daily living. Our robust induction ensures that our Home Care Assistants are highly skilled in supporting individuals living with Dementia, and are recognised as ‘Dementia Friends’ and/or ‘Dementia Friends Champions’. All team members are continually supported to progress professionally, as we know that this goes hand in hand with offering a high-quality service.
Where applicable we will promote the ‘Herbert Protocol’ in support of people and families living with dementia. You can find more details on the Herbert Protocol by following the link below;

N.b. All services provided under home care can be accessed for individuals living with dementia.
