Hello my name is……

Katy Naughton.  I am extremely proud to say that I am part of the dedicated Elite Care North West Team.  Being at Elite has enabled me to have the opportunity to put into action my vision-which has always been to provide outstanding care.  I began my career in health and social care more than 16 years ago, as a Health Care assistant. This role gave me a great insight into what providing care for others entails.  To know that I had supported somebody to achieve their goal regardless of their care setting was most rewarding to me.

Gaining my NVQ in 2 and 3 in Health and Social Care gave me the opportunity to progress in my career, and I moved into the role of Care Planning and Delivery Co-ordinator.  This is my great passion, as I meet such a wide range of clients, who all have their individual needs and story to tell. To just sit face to face and chat with somebody whilst working together on how a difference can be made in their life, is without doubt the most rewarding feeling.  Some clients can find it a difficult time to accept changes – especially when they realise they are not as independent as they once were, I genuinely see that if time, understanding and empathy is shown, they can be put at ease and have their fears allayed.

I feel the ability to communicate on many levels, and really listen to what a person is saying, is the key to ensuring that care packages run positively and smoothly.  

Coming to work each day at Elite Care North West and being part of a team who all share the same ethos is the greatest honour for me.
